Course Description

By the end of our six-week examination of “Styles in Art,” you will be on your way to connoisseurship… the ability to look at a work of art and know the era and possibly the country from which it came. Join us as “How to Look at and Understand Great Art” presents lessons on styles in art from the Renaissance to Modernism.

 

About Your Presenter: Becky D Reese

Becky served as Director of the El Paso Museum of Art from 1991-2005, providing world-class art experiences and promoting community inclusion. Her achievements resulted in a museum nationally recognized for the strength of its collections, its dynamic public programming, and its impressive new building. Becky was inducted into the El Paso Women’s Hall of Fame and received numerous civic awards and honors. She was a board member for UTEP’s Lifelong Learning Institute and in San Marcos serves as the Associate Director of Lifelong Learning. She has served on The Wittliff’s Collections’ Advisory Council since 2017.
